    Larry Staverman (‘58)
He played basketball and baseball at Thomas More from 1954 to 1958, and graduated as the school’s all-time leader in points (1,673) and rebounds (1,114). At the time of induction, Staverman was third in scoring and second in rebounds. He was one of two players in school history with at least 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds.
Following his playing career, he was drafted in the ninth round by the Cincinnati Royals. He had a five-year playing career with the Royals, Chicago Zephrys/Baltimore Bullets and Detroit Pistons, averaging 4.7 points and 3.8 rebounds.  He started his coaching career as the first coach of the Indiana Pacers of the American Basketball Association (ABA) in 1967, compiling a two-year record of 40-47. He added a coaching stint with the New York Knicks in the 1977-78 season, posting a 18-27 record.
