(INDIANAPOLIS, IN.) – The Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) announced their 2026 Softball Coaches' Preseason Poll this week, and Thomas More was picked to finish 10th with 63 points.
This will be the Saints third season in the G-MAC and after a 2025 season that saw the Saints go 21-25 overall and 9-15 in conference play.
It will be head coach Lindsey Eagan's 18th season at the helm of the program. Eagan holds an overall record of 427 wins and 301 losses over her 17 previous seasons.
Tiffin sits at the top of the poll with 11 first place votes and 156 points. Other teams receiving first place votes includes Findlay (1) who is second with 137 points, and Hillsdale (1) who is third with 133 points.
The middle portion of the poll shows Ohio Dominican in fourth (122 points), Northwood in fifth (119 points), Ashland sixth (103 points), Cedarville seventh (94 points), and Malone eighth (76 p oints). The rest of the poll has Walsh in 9th (64 points), Thomas More in 10th (63 points), Ursuline in 11th (50 points), Kentucky Wesleyan in 12th (39 points), and Lake Erie rounding out the poll in 13th with 27 points.
Thomas More opens the season on Thursday, February 12 in a double header beginning at 1:00 pm ET in Springfield, IL against Missouri S&T in the Illinois Springfield Tournament.
