Box Score 2 (Indianapolis, IN) - The Thomas More University Softball team capped off a four game weekend with at Grand Park with a double header sweep over the Quincy Hawks on Monday (February 24th). Thomas More took game one by a score of 3 to 2, before winning the second game by a score of 6 to 4. Thomas More moves to 3-1 overall on the season.
Game 1:
- Quincy broke the scoreless game in the 4th inning with 2 runs on a double.
- In the 7th inning, senior Emily Allphin (New Richmond, OH / Milford) hit a two RBI double to tie the game up.
- First year Natalie Harris (Vandalia, OH / Vandalia Butler) broke the tie with an RBI single to give the Saints a 3-2 lead.
Game 2:
- Emily Allphin got the scoring started with a sacrifice fly to bring home the first run of the game in the first.
- Natalie Harris followed with an RBI single to make it a 2-0 game.
- Quincy scored runs in the 3rd, 5th and 6th to take a 3 to 2 lead.
- Thomas More scored three runs of errors in the 6th inning to take a 5 to 3 lead.
- Also in the 6th, first year Loghan Cromer (Hilliard, OH / Hilliard Bradley) hit an RBI single to make it a 6 to 3 game.
- Quincy added a run in the 7th.
Game 1:
- Emily Allphin went 1-2 at the plate with 2 RBIs and a double and two walks.
- Natalie Harris went 3-4 at the dish with an RBI in the ball game.
- Senior Emma Kent (Hamilton, OH / Badin) went 2-4 at the plate.
Game 2:
- Junior Ashtyn Elbe (Cincinnati, OH / Mercy McAuley) went 2-2 at the plate with a walk, 2 runs scored and a stolen base.
- Natalie Harris went 1-3 with an RBI at the plate.
- Loghan Cromer recorded an RBI while going 1-3 at the dish.
Game 1:
- Sophomore Kylie Ropp (Bellefontaine, OH / Kenton Ridge) pitched the complete 7.0 innings for the Saints. She recorded 5 strikeouts and only 2 earned runs. She picked up the win.
Game 2:
- First year Avery Gottlieb (Ross, OH / Oak Hills) got the start for the Saints. She pitched 4.0 innings, allowing 1 earned run on 3 hits, and struck out 1.
- Sophomore Olivia Dumm (Williamsport, OH / Westfall) pitched 1.0 innings, allowing 0 earned runs and 2 hits.
- First year Kendra Steinberg (Crown Point, IN / Crown Point) pitched 2.0 innings, allowing 2 earned runs on 3 hits. She picked up the win.

The Saints return to action on Friday (February 28th) when they host Lewis at Thomas More Softball Field for the 2025 home opener. First pitch is set for 1:00 PM.
