(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) announced their 2025-2026 Women's Basketball Coaches' Preseason Poll this week, and Thomas More was picked to finish 8th with 84 points.
This will be the Saints third season in the G-MAC after a 2024-25 campaign that saw the Saints finish 11-18 on the season and 8-12 in G-MAC play. The Saints earned a trip to the G-MAC Quarterfinals where they fell to top seeded Ashland by a final score of 81 to 49.
It will be head coach
Brian Neal's second year at the helm of the Saints in his second stint at Thomas More. The Saints return their top four leading scorers from a season ago including seniors
Rylee Turner (Newport, KY / Newport Central Catholic), and
Sereniti Webb (Covington, KY / Simon Kenton / Midway).
The Ashland Eagles once again claim the top spot of the preseason poll with 154 points and 9 first place votes. Malone claims second with 143 points and 2 first place votes. Northwood rounds out the top three in third with 138 points and 2 first place votes.
The middle of the poll shows Findlay in 4th (120 points), Hillsdale in 5th (115 points), Kentucky Wesleyan in 6th (95 points), Cedarville in 7th (91 points), and Thomas More in 8th (84 points).
The rest of the poll has Ohio Dominican in 9th (69 points), Walsh in 10th (64 points), Ursuline in 11th (45 points), Tiffin in 12th (37 points), and Lake Erie in 13th (28 points).
Thomas More will open the season on Friday, November 14th. When they travel to Owensboro, Kentucky to compete in the GLVC/G-MAC Crossover. Their first game is against Lincoln University.
