Women's Basketball Closes Out the GLVC Crossover Undefeated

(OWENSBORO, Ky.)-Thomas More University's women's basektball team defeated Missouri S&T on Saturday afternoon (Nov 15), 59-48. The Saints overall record improves to 2-0.

• Senior Rylee Turner (Newport, Ky./Newport Central Catholic) started things off for the Saints with a pull up shot to put the team on the board 2-0 with 7:34 on the clock.
• Junior Morgan Hunt (Hollansburg, Ohio/Tri-Village) drained a 3-point shot to extend the Saints lead to 12-3 with 5:01 left to play in the quarter.
• Senior Seriniti Webb (Covington, Ky./Simon Kenton) made a layup for the final basket of the quarter as time expired to give the Saints the 18-7 going into the second quarter.
• Junior Izzy Rotert (Harrison, Ohio/Mercy McAuley) drove to the rim for a layup to get things started for the Saints in the second quarter with 9:12 on the clock (20-9).
• With 6:09 remaining in the half, Seriniti Webb made a layup to make it a 22-15 game.
• Rylee Turner made the Saints final basket of the quarter with 34 seconds to go to put the Saints down by two (24-26).
• The Saints trailed 28-24 going into the locker room at the half.
• Rylee Turner led with nine points, four rebounds, and two assists.
• The Saints were 37% (10-27) from the field, 25% (3-12) from the 3-point line, and 25% (1-4 ) from the free throw line in the first half.

• Izzy Rotert kicked things off for the Saints in the second half with a pull up shot with 9:32 on the clock (26-28).
• Rylee turner made a layup to make it a 34-30 game with 5:38 to play in the quarter.
• Junior Rylee Leonard (Sardinia, Ohio/Eastern Brown) hit a 3-point shot for the Saints final basket of the quarter with 2:31 to play to put the Saints ahead 39-38.
• Izzy Rotert made the first basket of the quarter to make it a two point game with 9:48 to play (41-43).
• Rylee Leonard knocked in two free throws to extend the Saints lead to 47-43 with 6:10 on the clock.
• Seriniti Webb made a layup with 1:12 remaining to make it a 59-43 for the Saints final basket.
• The Saints secured the 59-48 win over Missouri S&T.
• Seriniti Webb led with 12 points and seven rebounds in the second half.
• Izzy Rotert followed with six points.
• The Saints were 50% (14-28) from the field, 18.2% (2-11) from the 3-point line, and 71.4% (5-7) from the free throw line in the second half.
