Softball Advances on in MSC Tournament with 1-0 Win Over Shawnee State

(BOWLING GREEN, Ky.)-No. 6 seed Thomas More University's softball team defeated No. 9 seed Shawnee State on Wednesday (May 3), 1-0, in the Opening Round of the Mid-South Conference Tournament. The Saints overall record improves to 26-17.

How they scored
  • Graduate Student Maclai Branson (Union, Ky./Ryle) singled through the left side to send in junior Kai Dickerson (Walton, Ky./Ryle) in the bottom of the fifth inning for the only run of the game.
  • Senior Annika Gels (Eaton, Ohio/Eaton) pitched 7 innings, giving up no runs off of two hits, and struck out one.
