Sophomore Highlights (2023): Started in all 46 games for the Saints. Recorded a batting averaged of .314 to go with 13 doubles, 11 home runs, and 41 RBIs at the plate. In the circle she made 12 appearances and 8 starts, pitching 39.1 innings. She held an ERA of 3.56 with a record of 4-4 and struck out 17 batters. She finished the season 8th for career home runs, 10th most at-bats in a season, 7th most home runs in a season, and 7th most RBIs in a season. On March 10th, she went 2-4 at the plate with a home run and 5 RBIs to help the Saints defeat Bethel. She earned First Team All-Mid South Conference honors.

High School Highlights: Black attended Boone County High School where she played for head coach Andrew Patritas. She earned D1 All-Division Team three times, and broke the schools Home Run record during her senior season. 

Personal: Karys Black is the daughter of Shannon and Jason Black. She has two siblings, Makenna (24) and Rylan (18).She transferred to Thomas More after previously attending West Alabama and Sheldon State.
