Graduate Student Highlights (2023): Starting all 46 games, Branson recorded a batting average of .389 to go along with 51 runs scored, 23 doubles, 6 triples, 13 home runs, 54 RBIs, and 9 walks. She ended the season with the 6th best batting average in a career at Thomas More, the 6th most triples in a career, 5th most hits in a season, 3rd most at-bats in a season, 2nd most runs scored in a season, 2nd most doubles in a season, the most triples in a season, 4th most home runs in a season, 2nd most RBIs in a season, and 9th most stolen bases in a season. She earned First Team All-Mid South Conference and Academic All-Conference honors. 

High School Highlights: Branson attended Ryle where she was coached by Craig Millburn.

Personal: Maclai Branson is the daughter of Jeff and Chastity Branson. She has two siblings, Shelton (24) and Landon (16). She transferred to Thomas More from Kentucky and Miami.
