Women's Lacrosse Suffer 16-2 Loss to #8 Georgetown

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.)- Thomas More's women's lacrosse team suffered a 16-2 loss on Saturday afternoon (March 20) to #8 Georgetown. The Saints overall record falls to 0-2.

• After the Tigers scored the first 14 goals, first-year Kendra Yurt (Louisville, Ky./Mercy) scored back to back goals with 7:33 and 5:25 to play in the second half.
• The Tigers would then score two more goals.

• Yurt had five shots on goal with two being a goal.
• Sophomore Claire Combs (Morrow, Ohio/Little Miami) had six shots with four on goal.
• Sophomore Faith Smiddy (West Chester, Ohio/ Lakota West) and Junior Katie Bryson (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota East) both had one shot.
• Sophomore Jaya Jensen (Metairie, La./Cabrini) had one shot on goal.
• Junior Kennedy Yurt (Louisville, Ky./Mercy) played all 60 minutes in the net, recording 14 saves.

The Saints return to the field March 27 when they travel to Williamsburg, Ky. to take on #3 Cumberlands at 3:00 pm ET.
