Saints take down Ursuline 24-3 in regular season finale

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY) – The Thomas More University women's lacrosse team defeated Ursuline College by a score of 24-3 in Saturday's (April 18) regular season finale. The Saints move to 4-12 overall on the season and 3-5 within the conference.
 
How they scored
  • Thomas More opened the game with 9 goals in the first quarter. Sophomore Elina Emmons (Fairfield, OH / Fairfield) started the game with the first goal 21 seconds into the game with an assist from freshman Payton Davis (Springboro, OH / Springboro). Elina Emmons later scored at the 8:45 mark with an assist from junior Alex Nunn (Loveland, OH / Loveland). Senior Meg Pierani (Lawrenceburg, IN / Mercy McAuley) scored at the 14:28 and 9:13 marks with assists from sophomore Brynn Halbeisen (Cincinnati, OH / Walnut Hills) and junior Anna Wells (West Chester, OH / Lakota West). Anna Wells had two goals at 14:17 and 6:53 while Brynn Halbeisen scored at the 11:15 mark. Sophomore Lauren Ferrier (Cincinnati, OH / Mercy McAuley) and junior Morgan Blanchet (West Chester, OH / Lakota West) each had a goal within the first eight minutes.
  • Ursuline had their first goal as the first quarter was coming to a close.
  • Meg Pierani scored within the first 25 seconds of the second quarter with an assist from Alex Nunn.
  • Ursuline scored another goal before Alex Nunn had her first goal of the day. The Arrows had their final goal at the 5:43 mark of the second quarter.
  • The Saints scored thirteen more goals.
  • Meg Pierani had three goals with one assist from Anna Wells and two assists from Alex Nunn.
  • Brynn Halbeisen and sophomore Livi Randolph (Cincinnati, OH / Fairfield) each had two goals.
