Softball Splits Doubleheader with Bethel

(MCKENZIE, Tenn.)- Thomas More University's softball team split their doubleheader with Bethel on Saturday (February 27), winning 9-5 game one and falling 14-2 game two.

Game 1:

• Bethel scored one run in the 3rd inning, two runs in the 5th inning and another two runs in the 6th inning.

Game 2:

• Bethel scored four runs in the 1st innings, nine runs in the 2nd inning, and one run in the 3rd inning.

Game 1:

• Andrea Gahan singled to right sending in Valerie Hudepohl and Hailey McAdoo singled up the middle sending in Gahan in the first inning.
• Hudeophol doubled to left-center sending in Kai Dickerson and Gahan hit a 3-run homerun to deep left-center sending in herself,  Baylee Hebeika and Hudepohl in the fourth inning.
• In the top of the 7th, Gahan scored on a fielders choice off of McAdoo. Lindsey Meier scored off of Dickerson's single to right. Hannah Bishop singled out to shallow right scoring McAdoo.

Game 2:

• In the top of the 2nd inning, Adrian Marquez flew out down the left field line sending in Elana Harrison.
• In the 4th inning, Ashley Pollard homered over the left field fence. 

Game 1:

• Annika Gels on the mound gave up five runs off of 11 hits in seven innings with three strikeouts.

Game 2:

• Bishop pitched 1.1 innings giving up six runs off of seven hits.
• Emily Wisman pitched 1.2 innings giving up three runs off of three hits with one strikeout.
• Lindsay Dawson pitched 1.0 innings giving up no hits and no runs.

Next up the Saints take on Lindsey Wilson at home on March 5 at 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm.
