Box Score 2 (ADRIAN, Mich.) - The No. 24-ranked Thomas More softball team took on Adrian in its final two games of the regular season today. The Saints took game one, 9-1, and game two 14-2 in five innings, to improve to 29-9 on the season.
GAME 1
- The Saints got on the board in the first inning, after Andrea Gahan singled to left field, moving Alix DeDreu to third and scoring Whitney Quillen to take a 1-0 lead.
- Morgan Wells hit a solo home run in the second to take a 2-0 lead.
- Mary Beth Odom also hit a solo home run in the third to extend the lead to three.
- Gahan doubled to center field, scoring Amanda Lloyd in the fifth inning to take a 4-1 lead.
- Baylee Hobeika singled to center field and reached second on a fielding error, scoring Wells in the sixth.
- Sydney Turner reaced first on a dropped fly ball to center field and advanced to second base, scoring Hobeika to take a 6-1 lead.
- Gahan hit a two run home run over the left field fence, scoring DeDreu in the seventh.
- Turner singled up the middle, moving Kenzi Dickerson to second and scoring Lindsey Meier to score the ninth run of the game for the Saints.
- Gahan led the Saints at the plate, going 3-4 with four RBI's, one double, one home run, and scoring one run.
- Odom, Wells, and Turner all recorded one RBI, as Odom and Wells both went 2-4 at the plate, Turner went 1-3.
- DeDreu and Elana Harrison both went 2-4 at the plate, as DeDreu hit for a double and had one run scored.
