Men's Track and Field Close Out Regular Season at Otterbein Twilight

(WESTERVILLE, OH.) – The Saints wrapped up their outdoor regular season at Memorial Stadium on the campus of Otterbein University. The late afternoon meet on Friday, April 18th ran into the early morning hours of Saturday, setting the scene for an awesome twilight race.


4x100-meter relay

• Senior Gregory Woodard (Fishersville, VA./Wilson Memorial/Mary Baldwin), sophomore Marcus Johnson (Cincinnati, Ohio/West Clermont), first-Year Keegan Mehr (Brookville, OH./Brookville), and first-year Andrew Witherington (Lexington, KY./Tates Creek) placed 10th with a time of 43.03.

1-mile run

• First-year Dawson Benjamin (Hebron, KY./Connor) came in eighth with a time of 4:28.54.

4x400-meter relay

• Keegan Mehr, Andrew Witherington, senior Kai Ellison (Independence, Ky./Scott), and Dawson Benjamin placed eighth with a time of 3:27.88.

• Sophomore Carson Oldham (Flemingsburg, Ky./Fleming County) came in 10th with a 40.28 meter throw.

Hammer

• Carson Oldham earned a new PR in the hammer throw event, clearing 46.01 meters to earn 12th place.

5000-meter run

• Senior Nick Lanter (Cincinnati, OH./La Salle) ran the 5000 meter run in 15:51 earning 4th place.
• Sophomore Carter Engle (Independence, KY./Holy Cross) ran the 5000 meter run in 16:04, earning 14th place and a new personal best by 21 seconds.

800-meter run

• Junior Jude Theriot (Independence, KY./Simon Kenton) earned a new personal best in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:00, earning him 22nd place.

400-meter run

• First-year Andrew Witherington (Lexington, KY./Tates Creek) earned a new PR in the 400 meter hurdles event, running a 58.19 second race for 9th place.

The Saints return April 30-May 2 at the G-MAC Championships in Ashland, OH.
