Mitchell Rylee (Ft. Mitchell, KY / Covington Catholic) of the men's basketball program at Thomas More earned the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week award. This marks the second time this season a member of the men's basketball program has earned this honor.
Rylee posted career highs in both games this week that saw the Saints go 2-0. In the Saints win over (RV) Hillsdale, he recorded a career high double double with 28 points and 14 rebounds, he also tallied two assists and one block. In the Saints win over Tiffin Rylee recorded another career high of 15 rebounds and had four points, one assist and three blocks. On the week, he tallied 32 total points, 29 rebounds, three assists, and four blocks. He went 60.9% (14-23) from the field and 50% (4-8) from the free throw line.
Rylee and the Saints are back in action on Thursday (February, 13th) when they host Cedarville at the CCC. That game is set to begin at 7:00 P.M.
