Kai Simpson (Lexington, Ky. / Frederick Douglass) earned a spot on the First Team All-Conference.
Kai Simpson averaged a conference-best 18.8 points per game after starting 26 of 27 games he appeared in. He led the team by shooting 47.2% (182-386) from the floor and 37-107 (34.6%) from three-point range. He had a career-high 36 points against Cedarville on Feb. 7 and surpassed thirty points in a game three times during the season while hitting double-digit points in every game. He also sank 106-140 free throws (75.7%). He lead the team with 4.9 rebounds per game with 133 total.
Kai Simpson was fourth in the conference for assists per game at 4.4. This is his second G-MAC All-Conference honor after being named to the All-Conference Second Team and the G-MAC Freshman of the Year last season.
