Men's Lacrosse Drop to Lake Erie on Wednesday

(PAINESVILLE, OH) - The Thomas More men's lacrosse team fell to Lake Erie on Wednesday (April, 3rd) by a score of 17 to 6. Thomas More falls to an overall record of 0-8 on the season and 0-4 in Great Midwest Athletic Conference play.

• Sophomore Spencer Lethbridge (Cleveland, OH / Olmsted Falls) got the game started with an unassisted goal to make it 1 to 0.
• Lake Erie took the lead with back to back goals making it 2 to 1.
• First year Aspen Cameron (Plain City, OH / Jonathon Alder) tied the game with a goal off an assist from first year Bryce Collins (Lewis Center, OH / Olentangy) (2-2).
• Lake Erie scored the games next 11 goals to make it 13 to 2.
• Spencer Lethbridge tallied his second goal of the game with 2:48 to go in the third (3-13).
• Following another Lake Erie goal, first year Jackson Goetz (Edgewood, KY / Dixie Heights) finds the back of the net to make it 14 to 4.
• Lake Erie ended the third quarter with a goal to make it a 15 to 4 game.
• Bryce Collins and Spencer Lethbridge each tallied a goal to open the 4th quarter making it 15 to 6.
• Lake Erie extended their lead to make it a final score of 17 to 6.

• Spencer Lethbridge led the Saints with 3 goals on the day.
• Bryce Collins tallied a goal and an assist in the game.
• Sophomore goalie Trevor Almanza (Cincinnati, OH / Fairfield) recorded 16 saves in the game.

Men's lacrosse will return to action on Saturday (April, 6th) when they host Davis & Elkins at Republic Bank Field. That game is scheduled to begin at 12:00 PM.
