(PITTSBURGH, PA) – The Thomas More University men's lacrosse team earned a 18-7 victory over Point Park on Friday (April 17) evening. The Saints move to 6-8 on the year and 4-5 within the G-MAC.
 

• Redshirt sophomore Bryce Collins (Lewis Center, OH / Olentangy / Mercyhurst) scored within the first twenty seconds of the game.
• Point Park had two goals before Thomas More scored six unanswered. Bryce Collins, senior Joe Mariani (Warners, NY / Mater Dei Academy / Onondaga CC) and senior James Kendrick (Springboro, OH / Springboro) scored within three minutes ending the first quarter with a 4-2 lead. Senior Spencer Lethbridge (Cleveland, OH / Olmsted Falls) had three goals to start the second half. Junior Noah Koenig (Erlanger, KY / Dixie Heights) had an assist while Joe Mariani had the other two.
• The Pioneers had a goal at the 5:35 mark of the second quarter. Bryce Collins got assists as Spencer Lethbridge and James Kendrick (man-up) scored. James Kendrick ended the first quarter with another goal at the 2:35 mark.
• Freshman Eric Wong (Union, KY / Cooper) started the second half with a goal 31 seconds into the period with an assist from Spencer Lethbridge.
• Bryce Collins had an assist on James Kendrick's fourth goal of the game before Bryce Collins scored another goal himself.
• Spencer Lethbridge had his fifth and final goal of the game at the 6:32 mark ending a seven-goal run by the Saints.
• Point Park scored before Eric Wong found the net with just 38 seconds remaining in the third quarter.
• Point Park scored a goal to start the final quarter.
• James Kendrick scored at the 10:26 mark of the fourth quarter with an assist from Joe Mariani.
• Bryce Collins scored on a man-up opportunity at 4:28 before Joe Mariani scored twenty seconds later with an assist from Eric Wong.
• The Pioneers scored the final two goals of the game.

 

• Bryce Collins had four goals and three assists on six shots.
• Spencer Lethbridge had five goals on twelve shots and had an assist.
• James Kendrick scored five goals on six shots.
• Joe Mariani had two goals and three assists for five points. He had seven shots and four ground balls.
• Eric Wong had two goals and an assists with five shots.
• Junior Stephen Schodowski (Chula Vista, CA / St. Augustine) won 18 of 25 face offs and had a team-high 8 ground balls.
• Freshman Jack Schiff (Cincinnati, OH / Buxton / Cincinnati State CC / Hudson Valley CC) had nine saves and caused two turnovers from inside the crease.

 

The Saints will wrap up the regular season on Tuesday (April 21) as they travel to Tiffin. The game is scheduled to begin at 3:00 PM.
