Box Score (CEDARVILLE, OH)-Thomas More University's softball team fell to Cedarville on Saturday (March 16) in their conference opener. They fell 2-1 in 10-innings in game one and 3-2 in 10-innings in game two. The Saints overall record falls to 5-17 and 0-2 in conference.
Game 1: Cedarville 2-1 (10-innings)

- Sophomore Ashtyn Elbe (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mercy McAuley) scored on a fielder's choice hit by first year Adi Johnson (Ross, Ohio/Ross) to tie the game up at 1-1 in the top of the seventh.
- Cedarville scored one run in the bottom of the 10th (1-2).
Game 2:
- Cedarville scored one run in the bottom of the fourth inning (0-1).
- Junior Josie Wefer (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) homered to left field to give the Saints the lead in the top of the fourth inning and scored graduate student Hailey McAdoo (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mercy McAuley) (2-1).
- Cedarville would score one run in the bottom of the sixth inning and one run in the bottom of the 10th (2-3).

- Graduate student Annika Gels (Eaton, Ohio/Eaton) pitched 9.1 innings, allowing two runs with one earned off six hits and struck out 14.
Game 2:
- First year Kylie Ropp (Bellefontaine,Ohio/Kenton Ridge) pitched 6.0 innings, allowing two earned runs off six hits and struck out three.
- Annika Gels pitched 3.1 innings, allowing one unearned run off three hits and struck out one.

The Saints return next Saturday (March 23) at Ohio Dominican in Columbus, Ohio with a double header beginning at 1:00 pm.
