#16 Men's Basketball Rolls Past Bethel (Tenn.)

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) – The Thomas More University men's basketball 

• Redshirt sophomore Jacob Jones (Jeffersonville, Ind. / Jeffersonville) got the Saints started with a basket to put Thomas More out front 2-0.
• Midway thru the first half redshirt junior Reid Jolly (Alexandria, Ky. / Campbell County) knocks down a jumper to extend the Thomas More lead to 7.
• Redshirt first year Scotty Draud (Fort Mitchell, Ky. / Beechwood) makes a layup to make the score 28 to 17 in favor of the Saints.
• Sophomore Kyle Ross (St. John, Ind. / Lake Central) scores 11 straight Thomas More points which included two three pointers to push the Thomas More lead to 15.
• With under a minute to go redshirt sophomore Jalen Scott (Hebron, Ky. / Conner) and sophomore Wyatt Vieth (Hebron, Ky. / St. Henry) knock down back to back threes to give Thomas More a 20 point lead.
• Thomas More takes a 47 to 27 lead into the half.
• Kyle Ross led the Saints with 17 points to go with 4 rebounds and an assist.
• Reid Jolly tallied 10 points and 4 rebounds.
• Jacob Jones had 10 points and 2 rebounds along with 2 assists.
• Thomas More shot 19 for 36 from the field in the half.

• A Wyatt Vieth triple got the Saints rolling to start the second half, making the score 50 to 27.
• Wyatt Vieth would go on to knock down his second three pointer in the second half to give Thomas More a 57-27 lead and a 10 point run to open the second half.
• Redshirt first year Cody Teten (Florence, Ky. / St. Henry) makes a three pointer with 12 minutes to go in the game to make the score 65 to 38.
• Jacob Jones goes on to score 7 straight Saint points to make the score 72 to 42.
• With 7 minutes to go redshirt sophomore Eli Howard (Newport, Ky. / Newport Central Catholic) makes a driving layup to put the Thomas More lead back to 28.
• Thomas More would go on to win by a score of 76 to 60.
• Jacob Jones has 13 second half points.
• Kyle Ross has 5 rebounds in the second half for the Saints.
• Saints shot 11 for 29 in half.

• Jacob Jones led the Saints with 23 points to go with 3 rebounds and 2 assists.
• Kyle Ross score 17 points to go with a team high 9 rebounds and 2 assists.
• Reid Jolly ended the game with 13 points and 5 rebounds along with 2 assists.
• Wyatt Vieth had 9 points and 5 rebounds.
• Redshirt first year Derek Eddings (Cincinnati, Ohio / LaSalle) ended the game with a team high 4 assists to go with 6 rebounds.

 

The Thomas More Saints are back in action on Saturday (February 11th) as the Saints take on #22 Freed-Hardeman at the Connor Convocation Center. Tip-Off is set for 3:00 p.m. ET.
