Redshirt Sophomore (2022-2023): Appeared in 27 games for the Saints. Averaged 5.6 minutes, 1.3 points, and 1.7 rebounds per game. Recorded a shooting percentage of 51.6%. Had a season best 8 points in the January 6th, victory over Campbellsville.

High School Highlights: Smith attended Independence where he played for head coach Preston Davis. He earned All-District (Jr, Sr), and All-Conference (Jr, Sr) honors, and was a State Champion.

Personal: Matt Smith is the son of Mary and Toney Smith. He transferred to Thomas More from Murray State.
