Box Score 2 (CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.)-Thomas More University softball team fell to Cumberlands (Ky.) on Friday (April 2) with the scores of 3-2 in game one and 10-0 in five innings in game two. The Saints overall record falls to 10-18 and 7-10 in conference.
Game 1: Cumberlands 3-2
- Junior Caitlin Dawson (Georgetown, Ky./Scott) singled in the bottom of the third inning to send in junior Mattison Fisher (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) to give the Saints the 1-0 lead.
- Cumberlands scored two runs in the top of the fourth inning and one run in the top of the fifth inning (3-1).
- In the top of sixth inning, first year Emma Kent (Hamilton, Ohio/Badin) hit her first collegiate homerun to put the Saints within one (3-2).
Game 2:
- Cumberlands scored four runs in the top of the second inning and one run in the top of the third (5-0).
- Patriots would score five runs in the top of the fifth inning (10-0).

- Junior Annika Gels (Eaton, Ohio/Eaton) pitched 7.0 innings, giving up three earned runs off seven hits, and struck out six.

- Junior Emily Wisman (Harrison, Ohio/Harrison) pitched 2.0 innings, giving up four runs (three earned) off four hits and struck out one.
- Emma Kent pitched 3.0 innings, giving up six earned runs off five hits.
The Saints return to the field tomorrow (April 2) to close their series against #17 Cumberlands (Ky.) in a double header beginning at 12:00 pm ET.
