#2 Men's Basketball Record Big Win Over Kent State-Tuscarawas in Connor Classic

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.)-#2 Thomas More University men's basketball team defeat Kent State-Tuscarawas 87-62 on Saturday evening (November 12) in the Connor Classic. The Saints overall record improves to 3-0.

First Half
  • Sophomore Wyatt Vieth (Burlington, Ky./St. Henry) drained a 3-point basket to kick off the scoring for the Saints with 19:31 on the clock (3-0).
  • With 16:35 to play in the first half, redshirt junior Noah Pack (Georgetown, Ohio/Georgetown) drove to the rim for a layup to make it a 9-2 game.
  • Sophomore transfer Jacob Jones (Jeffersonville, Ind./Jeffersonville) made a layup with 11:07 to play in the half to extend the Saints lead to 21-6.
  • Wyatt Vieth would make a 3-point shot for the Saints final basket of the first half with 1:42 to play (319-19).
  • The Warriors would make a layup with 51 seconds left to make it a 39-21 game going into the locker room at the half.
  • Wyatt Vieth led the Saints in the first half with 15 points and had one rebound and one assist.
  • Redshirt junior Reid Jolly (Alexandria, Ky./Campbell County) tallied two assists to lead the team and had 10 points and three rebounds.
  • Noah Pack led the team defensively in the first half with six rebounds and had five points and one assist. 
  • The Saints were 65.4% (17-26) from the field, 44.4% (4-9) from the 3-point line, and 25% (1-4) from the free throw line in the first half.
Second Half
  • Sophomore Casey George (Pickerington, Ohio/Pickerington North) kicked off the second half for the Saints with a jumper to make it a 41-23 with 19:14 to play.
  • Reid Jolly would drive to the basket for a layup with 16:09 to play to put the Saints up by 25 (52-27).
  • Redshirt first year Derek Eddings (Cincinnati, Ohio/La Salle) put in a 3-pointer to make it a 60-21 game with 12:44 to play.
  • With 3:30 to play, sophomore JT Miller (Cincinnati, Ohio/Elder) hit a 3-point shot for his first points of the season to extend the lead to 81-51.
  • First year Kiernan Geraci (Independence, Ky./Dixie Heights) made his first collegiate points with a layup for the Saints final basket of the game with two seconds to play for a final score of 87-62.
  • Jacob Jones led the team in the second half with eight points and had one assist and one rebound.
  • Casey George also led in points with eight.
  • Noah Pack recorded three rebounds to lead the Saints and had six points.
  • Redshirt sophomore transfer Matt Smith (Charlotte, North Carolina/Independence) had three rebounds to also lead the Saints in the second half. 
  • Redshirt first year transfer Scotty Draud (Fort Mitchell, Ky./Beechwood) tallied two assists to lead the team and had four points and one rebound.
  • Redshirt sophomore Eli Howard (Newport, Ky./Newport Central Catholic) also led the team with two assists. 
  • The Saints were 57.6% (19-33) from the field, 37.5% (3-8) from the 3-point line, and 63.6% (7-11) from the free throw line in the second half.
