Box Score (CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.)- Thomas More's baseball team slid past Alice Lloyd on Tuesday night (April 13) in 7 innings with the score of 12-1 in the Baseball vs Cancer Game. The Saints overall record improves to 19-20.
- Bailey Martin's single to deep-right center put the Saints on the board by sending in Casey Nowak (1-0) in the bottom of the 1st inning.
- In the bottom of the 2nd, the Saints continued to be hot, scoring five runs. Aiden Reverman started things off doubling to left field to score Tyler Flick to extend the Saints lead to 2-0. Reverman would then score off a wild pitch to make it 3-0. Casey Nowak cranked a ball to center for an RBI single to send in Cooper Daniels (4-0). Martin singled off the new pitcher to score Nowak to then make it a 5-0 game. Martin would score the final run of the inning on a wild pitch (6-0).
- Derek Atwood sent in Nowak on an RBI double to left field to make it a 7-0 game. Next up to the plate was Brady Reynolds who hit a sac fly to right to score Martin (8-0) in the bottom of the 4th inning.
- In the bottom of the 5th, Nowak would send a ball up the middle for a single to knock in Daniels to continue the Saints lead to 9-0. Next up to the plate was Brady Baldock who doubled down the left-field line for a double to score Brett Benzinger for the last run of the inning (10-0).
- Alice Lloyd score one run in the 6th inning.
- On the first pitch at bat, Reverman would smoke a ball to left-center field for a 2 run home-run to score Reynolds and himself to seal the 12-1 victory.
- Nowak was excellent at the plate going 3-3 with a walk, two RBIs, scoring three runs, and reached on a double.
- Reverman was close behind going 3-4 at the plate, with three RBIs, scoring two runs, reached base on a double, and hit a 2-run home run.
- Jacob Caruso was 2-3 with a walk.
- Atwood went 2-4 at the plate with one RBI, and a double.
- Martin was 2-3 with two RBIs, one walk, and scored two runs.
- Baldock went 2-3 with one RBI and recorded a double.
- Drew Huffman pitched 6 innings recording three strikeouts with one earned run off five hits.
- Jackson Hall came in to pitch his first game as a Saints, pitching one inning, striking out one and recorded zero hits/runs.
The Saints return to the field tomorrow as they travel to Midway, Ky. to take on Midway in a non-conference mid-week match up with a 3:00 pm scheduled first pitch.
