Graduate Student Highlights (2024): Appeared in 24 games, starting in 33 this season for the Saints. Tallied a .255 Batting Average through 110 At Bats. Recorded 28 Hits, 7 Doubles, 1 Triple, 3 Home Runs, 16 Runs, 20 RBIs, and 11 Walks. Defensively he tallied 77 Put Outs and 4 Assists. Recorded a season high 3 Hits and 4 Runs in the 18-13 victory over Holy Family on March 6th.

Senior Highlights (2023): Started in all 51 games for the Saints. Recorded a batting average of .347 to go along with 43 runs scored, 59 hits, 8 doubles, 3 triples, a team high 6 home runs, 45 RBIs, and 27 walks. Went 4 for 4 with 4 RBIs in the March 14th victory over IUPUC. Earned All-Mid South Conference Honorable Mention, Academic All-Conference, and CSC All-District honors.

Junior Highlights (2022): Appeared in 28 games for the Saints, collecting 28 hits, five doubles, 15 RBIs and a home run. Went 2 for 3 with a HR and 2 RBIs in the April 22nd game against Pikeville.

Sophomore Highlights (2021):
Appeared in 48 games for the Saints starting in 47....Collected 60 hits with 11 doubles, a triple, and two homeruns...Drove in 37 runs and crossed the plate 31 times, also had three stolen bases.

First-Year Highlights (2020):
Played a reserve role for the Saints.

High School Highlights: 
Derek was a two-year letterwinner under coach Brad Arlinghaus...He was named team captain as a senior...In his junior and senior seasons, he was named 1st Team All-Conference, a St. Elizabeth All-Star, and NKBCA Catcher of the Year.
