Saints fall to Yellow Jackets in Season Finale

(CEDARVILLE, OH) – The Thomas More University baseball team concluded their 2026 season on Friday (May 1) as they fell in both games to Cedarville by scores of 1-0 and 11-1. The Saints finish the season 17-30 overall and 10-22 within the conference.
 
How they scored
Game 1: Cedarville 1 – Thomas More 0 (8 innings)
  • It was a defensive battle for both teams but Cedarville scored in the bottom of the 8th inning to walk off game one.
Game 2: Cedarville 11 – Thomas More 1 (7 innings)
  • After reaching on a single to center field, freshman Ian Mann (Newport, KY / Newport Central Catholic) moved over to third base and scored as redshirt sophomore Drew Edrich (Cleves, OH / Elder) singled through the left side.
  • Cedarville scored a run in the bottom of the second, six runs in the bottom of the third, two runs in the bottom of the fourth, before scoring a run in bot the fifth and sixth innings.
 

Game 1: Game 2:
  • Freshman Theodore Bosio (Grand Rapids, MI / Forest Hills Northern) went 1-1 with a double for the only extra base hit for the Saints.
  • Ian Mann went 1-2 with a single and scored the run.
  • Drew Edrich went 1-3 with an RBI single.
  • Freshman Jack Geers (Harrison, OH / Harrison), Nolan Krekeler, senior Riley Poston (Lancaster, OH / Lancaster), sophomore Chad Atchley (Peach Grove, KY / Simon Kenton) and junior Noah McCarty (Louisville, KY / Christian Academy of Louisville) each hit a single.
 

Game 1:
  • Senior Jack Perdue (Louisville, KY / Christian Academy) threw 7+ innings and was responsible for the run that scored but only allowed 4 total hits, no walks, and struck out three.
  • Sophomore Logan Cones (Independence, KY / Simon Kenton) came in as a relief pitcher facing two batters and allowed two hits.
