Box Score 2 (Crestview Hills, Ky.) – The baseball program at Thomas More University won both games of their doubleheader against Brescia on Tuesday by scores of 7-2 and 6-5, for their first sweep of the 2021 campaign.
Game 1, 7-2 Saints:
- Jacob Caruso's triple would drive in Derek Atwood (Burlington, Ky./Conner) all the way from first. Brady Baldock (Burlington, Ky./St. Henry) put a ball in play that scored Brady Reynolds (White Oak, Ohio/Lasalle) who was pinch running for Caruso, making the score 2-0 after the 1st.
- Aiden Reverman (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West), Andrew Stewart (Florence, Ky./St. Henry), and Bailey Martin (Independence, Ky./Simon Kenton) all scored in the bottom of the 2nd via three hits and two errors. Thomas More led 5-0 after two innings of play.
- Reynolds would once again pinch run for Caruso and scored via an error.
- Atwood scored the final run for TMU in the bottom of the 6th to make the score 7-0
- Brescia would score two runs in the top of the 7th, but it would not be enough as the Saints won 7-2.
- Atwood went 3-4 in the game with one rbi and two runs scored.
- Caruso went 2-4 with two rbi's and a walk, while putting his pinch runner into position to score twice.
- The Saints tallied seven runs on eight hits only striking out five times.
- Starting pitcher Mason Berger (Cincinnati, Ohio/Elder) would pitch 6 2/3 innings while accumulating six strikeouts and only allowing one hit.
- Zach Dugan (Cincinnati, Ohio/Elder) would come in for the final 1/3's inning and close the door on the Bearcats.
Game 2, 6-5 Saints:

Baseball returns to the field for a three game conference series against Martin Methodist at home on Saturday, the opening pitch is set for 12 p.m. ET.
