Box Score (Crestview Hills, Ky.) - The baseball program at Thomas More University took down Midway University in a single nine inning game by a score of 3-1. With the win the Saints improve to 8-13 on the season.
- The game would be scoreless going into the bottom of the third until Casey Nowak (Burlington, Ky./Covington Catholic) doubled to deep center field in which he would score on first baseman Derek Atwood's (Burlington, Ky./Conner) single to left field, making the score 1-0 TMU after three complete.
- Thomas More would add their final two runs in the bottom of the fourth as junior outfielder Tyler Flick (Okeana, Ohio/Ross) and first-year designated hitter Gavin Pearson (Burlington, Ky./Randall K. Cooper) would come around to score on a Nowak single down the right field line.
- The Eagles scored their only run in the top of the fifth to bring the final score to 3-1 in favor of Thomas More.
- Nowak batted two-for-four with a double and two runs batted in and a run scored.
- Atwood went one-for-four from the plate with an rbi.
- Flick was one-for-four from the plate with a run scored.
- First-year pitcher Hunter Nantz (London, Ky./North Laurel) got the nod for the Saints pitching six innings allowing one run on five hits and earning the win.
- Austin Hoeh (Alexandria, Ky./Campbell County) pitched the final three innings allowing only two hits while striking out four and earning the save.
Baseball will return to the diamond on Saturday, March 20, where they will travel to Lebanon, Tennessee to take on Mid-South Conference foe Cumberland University.
