- Red-shirt junior Ryan Batte (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) started things off late for the Saints sinking two free throws to get the Saints on the board to make it a 6-2 game with 15:27 on the clock.
- With 13:57 on the clock, senior Luke Rudy (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) drained a 3-pointer to give the Saints the go ahead lead for the first time in the game (7-6).
- Junior Logan Swackhammer (Chillicothe, Ohio/Unioto) made a jump shot with 13 seconds to secure the Saints lead going into the locker room at the end of the first half.
- Batte led the team with 13 points and had one rebound in the first half.
- Rudy recorded six defensive rebounds to lead things defensively for the Saints and had five points and one steal.
- Swackhammer tallied two assists to lead the Saints in the first half and had one rebound and two points.
- The Saints were 38.5% (10-26) from the field, 33.3% (2-6) from the 3-point line, and 100% (4-4) from the free throw line in the first half.
- Batte made a layup to start the scoring off for the Saints in the second half with 17:49 on the clock (30-28).
