Baseball Falls to Cedarville in Day One of Series

(CEADRVILLE, Ohio)-Thomas More University's baseball team fell to Cedarville on Thursday (April 30), 11-5 in game one and 4-2 in game two. The Saints overall record falls to 17-28 and 10-20 in conference.

How they scored
Game one: Cedarville won 11-5
  • Cedarville scored three in the second inning (0-3).
  • In the top of the third inning, junior Matt Resing (Independence, Ky./St. Henry) hit a two run home run to make it a one run game (2-3).
  • Cedarville scored three in the fourth inning (2-6).
  • Senior Gunner Kalkhoff (Cincinnati, Ohio/LaSalle) singled to center field to score first year Jack Geers (Harrison, Ohio/Harrison) to put the Saints within three (3-6) in the top of the fifth.
  • Cedarville scored one run in the seventh (3-7).
  • In the top of the sixth, sophomore Drew Barth (Ft. Thomas, Ky./Highlands) and senior Riley Poston (Lancaster, Ohio/Lancaster) both scored off a throwing error made by the pitcher to make it a 5-7 game.
