Baseball Drops to Miami Hamilton in Non-Conference Midweek Game

(FLORENCE, Ky.)-Thomas More University's baseball team fell to Miami Hamilton on Tuesday (April 21), 14-6. The Saints overall record falls to 15-24 and 8-16 in conference.

• Miami Hamilton scored seven runs in the top of the second (0-7).
• In the bottom of the second, first year Sean O'Donnell (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) singled to left field to send in first year Ian Mann (Newport, Ky./Newport Central Catholic) and junior Noah McCarty (Louisville, Ky./Christian Academy) to make it a 2-7 game.
• Miami Hamilton scored one run in the third (2-8).
• Junior Nolan Krekeler (Loveland, Ohio/Moeller) hit a home run over the right center fence to put the Saints within five (3-8).
• Miami Hamilton scored two runs in the fifth (3-10).
• Noah McCarty hit a ball hard into the ground of the infield to send in senior Gunner Kalkhoff (Cincinnati, Ohio/LaSalle) to make it a 4-10 game in the bottom of the sixth. Senior Riley Poston (Lancaster, Ohio/Lancaster) scored on a bases load walk (5-10).
• Miami Hamilton scored three runs in the eighth and one run in the ninth (5-14).
• First year Jack Geers (Harrison, Ohio/Harrison) homered to left field in the bottom of the ninth to make it a 6-14 game.

• Noah McCarty went 3-4 with two doubles, one RBI, and scored one run.

• First year Chase Maggard (Hamilton, Ohio/Badin) pitched 1.2 innings, allowing seven earned runs off four hits and struck out two.
• First year Finn O'Keefe (Loveland, Ohio/Moeller) pitched 2.1 innings, allowing one earned run off two hits and struck out four.
• Senior Ian Bierbaum (Cincinnati, Ohio/LaSalle) pitched 1.0 innings, allowing twi unearned runs off one hit and struck out one.
• Redshirt sophomore Joe Stone (Waynesville, Ohio/Waynesville) pitched 1.0 innings, allowing no runs and one hit and struck out one.
• Sophomore Logan Cones (Independence, Ky./Simon Kenton) pitched 1.0 innings, allowing no runs and one hit.
• First year Adam Forton (Ft. Thomas, Ky./Highlands) pitched 1.0 innings, allowing three runs with two earned off three hits and struck out one.
• Sophomore Cameron Snider (Amelia, Ohio/Bethel-Tate) pitched 1.0 innings, allowing one unearned run off two hits and struck out one.

The Saints return Friday (April 24) against Malone beginning beginning at 12:00 pm ET.
