Women's Tennis Splits with Chowan and IUP in Hilton Head

(HILTON HEAD, SC)-Thomas More University's women's tennis team split with Chowan (4-2) and IUP (0-4) on Monday (March 9). The Saints overall record is 6-3.


Thomas More defeated Chowan 4-2

IUP defeated Thomas More 4-0

• Senior Alexis Covington (Cincinnati, Ohio/Walnut Hills) and first year Bella Flores (Chillicothe, Ohio/Chillicothe) fell 6-3 to Hanna Beitat and Asel Calbay.
• First year Ella Cason (Owensboro, Ky./Owensboro Catholic) and sophomore Hallie Lathram (Nicholasville, Ky./Lexington) was defeated 6-4 by Lea Von Kozierowski and Kafka.
• First year Sadie Jones (Fort Mitchell, Ky./Beechwood) and sophomore Lindsey Greb (Butler, Pa./ Knoch) lost 6-0 to Maria Moskaltsova and Isabelle Oikawa Torres.

• Alexis Covington defeated Marcia Chacon Aragon from a retiring of the match.
• Bella Cason fell to Feidi Abreu Rodriguez 6-1 and 7-6.
• Hallie Lathram won by a retirement of match by Aime Vera.
• Sadie Jones won 3-6, 6-2, and 1-0 over Janna Lerma Murillo.
• Sophomore Nicole Bauer (Tipp City, Ohio/Tippecanoe) beat Diva Datta 2-6, 6-2, and 1-0.
• Lindsey Greb fell to Victoria Videla 1-6, 6-2, and 0-1.

• Alexis Covington was defeated by Lea Von Kozierowski 6-0 and 6-1.
• Ella Cason was defeated 6-0 and 6-0 to Asel Calbay.
