Baseball Drops to Tiffin in Game Three

(FLORENCE, Ky.)-Thomas More University's baseball team fell to Tiffin on Sunday (March 8), 9-4. The Saints overall record falls to 6-5.

• Tiffin scored one run in the first, two in the second, and three in the third inning (6-0).
• In the bottom of the third inning, first year Jack Geers (Harrison, Ohio/Harrison) tripled to right center to score first year Sean O'Donnell (Pittsburgh, Penn./North Allegheny) to make it a 6-1 game. Jack Geers would score on a throwing error by the third baseman to put the Saints within four (6-2). Junior Nolan Krekeler (Loveland, Ohio/Moeller) singled up the middle to send in first year Ian Mann (Newport, Ky./Newport Central Catholic) to make it a 6-3 game.
• Tiffin scored three runs in the top of the seventh (9-3).
• Nolan Krekeler singled to left field to score Jack Geers in the bottom of the ninth inning (9-4).

• Ian Mann went 2-4 with one RBI.
• Nolan Krekeler was 2-4 with one RBI and scored one run.

• Sophomore Logan Cones (Independence, Ky./Simon Kenton) pitched 5.0 innings, allowing six earned runs off seven hits and struck out six.
• Senior Garrett Taulbee (Felicity, Ohio/Felicity Franklin) pitched 2.0 innings, allowing three earned runs off one hit and struck out three.
• Senior Jack Perdue (Louisville, Ky./Chrisitan Academy) pitched 2.0 innings, allowing no runs and no hits and struck out three.

The Saints open conference play next weekend against Hillsdale beginning Saturday (March 14) at 1:00 pm ET.
