Saints fall to Dragons, 11-20

(TIFFIN, Ohio) – The Thomas More University women's lacrosse team fell to the Tiffin University Dragons on Saturday afternoon (March 28) by a score of 11-20. The Saints fall to 1-9 overall and 0-2 in the conference.
 
How they scored
  • Sophomore Elina Emmons (Fairfield, OH / Fairfield) connected with sophomore Hannah Scheland (Cincinnati, OH / Seton) early in the first quarter for the first Thomas More goal of the game.
  • Junior Alex Nunn (Loveland, OH / Loveland) scored at the 6:39 mark in the first quarter.
  • Elina Emmons and Hannah Scheland worked together again to score the first goal of the second quarter at the 9:53 mark. Elina Emmons scored her own goal 43 seconds later with an assist from sophomore Lauren Ferrier (Cincinnati, OH / Mercy McAuley) as the Saints closed the gap on the scoreboard to one.
  • At the 10:38 mark in the third quarter, junior Anna Wells (West Chester, OH / Lakota West) scored her first goal of the game with an assist from sophomore Brynn Halbeisen (Cincinnati, OH / Walnut Hills).
  • Brynn Halbeisen also got an assist for freshman Payton Davis's (Springboro, OH / Springboro) goal at the 5:12 mark in the third quarter.
  • Elina Emmons scored on a man-up scenario with less than a minute to go in the third quarter with an assist from Anna Wells.
  • Alex Nunn got the fourth quarter started with a goal less than fifteen seconds after the draw control.
  • Brynn Halbeisen had two goals at the 8:20 and 5:58 mark. The first goal was a man-up scenario with an assist from Elina Emmons while Alex Nunn had the assist on the second goal.
  • Elina Emmons finished the scoring with another man-up goal for the Saints with just under four minutes remaining in the game.

  • Brynn Halbeisen had two goals and two assists off her four shots.
