(Cedarville, Ohio) -The Thomas More University softball team split with Cedarville on Friday (March 20) in their conference opener. The Saints won 3-1 in game one and fell 8-0 (5-innings) in game two. They now have a record of 11-13 and 1-1 in conference.

Game one: Thomas More won 3-1
- In the fourth inning, First Year Brooklynn Couch (Lawrenceburg, Ind./Lawrenceburg) doubled to left center, scoring Sophomore Haylee Palmer (Lawrenceburg, Ind./Lawrenceburg) to put the Saints ahead 1-0.
- First Year Alisha Fox (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mason) homered to left field increasing the Saints lead to 3-0.
- Cedarville scored one run in the seventh (3-1)
Game two: Cedarville won 8-0 (5-innings)
- Cedarville scored six runs in the fourth and two runs in the fifth (0-8).

- Sophomore Haylee Palmer (Lawrenceburg, Ind./Lawrenceburg) went 1-2.
- Sophomore Natalie Harris (Vandalia, Ohio/Vandalia Butler) went 1-2.
- Senior Ashtyn Elbe (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mercy McAuley) went 1-2.Â

Game one:
- Alisha Fox pitched 7.0 innings, allowing one earned run on eight hits, and struck out three.
Game two:
- Junior Kylie Ropp (Bellefontaine, Ohio/Kenton Ridge) pitched 3.2 innings, allowing six runs with one earned off six hit and struck out one.
- First Year Kendyl Feutz (Bloomington, Ind./Bloomington North) pitched 0.2 innings, allowing two earned runs on four hits and struck out one.

The Saints return next Friday (March 27) at Malone in a double header beginning at 11:00 am ET.
