Jack Geers (Harrison, OH / Harrison) earned the Baseball Player of the Week for the South Division after his efforts during the four-game series against Lewis in which the Saints went 2-2.
Jack Geers went 6-15 at the plate with nine RBIs, a triple and 3 home runs. He also crossed the plate five times himself. His two-run home run in the first game helped the Saints take the lead before they eventually walked-it off on a Drew Barth homerun in the bottom of the ninth. In the second game,
Jack Geers' two-run home run in the bottom of the second inning tied the gave at 5-5 before his triple in the fifth inning scored two more runs in the offense heavy 13-23 loss. He closed the series with a home run and two singles, driving in 3 RBIs.
He and the rest of the Saints baseball team will open G-MAC play next weekend (Mar. 7-8). Saturday's doubleheader at Thomas More Stadium is scheduled to begin at noon.
