Tusculum tops Saints, 22-4

(GREENVILLE, Tenn.) – The Thomas More University women's lacrosse team fell to Tusculum in a non-conference game on Saturday afternoon (March 14) by a score of 22-4. The Saints fall to 1-6 on the season.
 

• Sophomore Hannah Scheland (Cincinnati, OH / Seton) capitalized on an early man-up situation just over five minutes into the game. She scored a second goal less than a minute later.
• Senior Meg Pierani (Lawrenceburg, IN / Mercy McAuley) scored two goals in the third quarter. Her first goal came at the 7:37 mark with an assist from sophomore Ashtyn Gindling (Sunman, IN / East Central) while the second one came at the 4:20 mark with an assist from junior Anna Wells (Cincinnati, OH / Oak Hills).

 

• Meg Pierani scored two goals on five shots.
• Hannah Scheland scored two goals on three shots, she also caused a turnover and one draw control.
• Ashtyn Gindling and Anna Wells each had an assist. Anna Wells added four draw controls.
• Junior Alex Nunn (Loveland, OH / Loveland) had six draw controls.

 

The Saints will travel to the University of Charleston on Wednesday (March 18). The game is scheduled to begin at 4:00 PM.
