Women's Tennis Picked 7th in G-MAC Preseason Coaches' Poll

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN.) – The Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) announced their 2026 Women's Tennis Coaches' Preseason Poll this week, and Thomas More was picked to finish 42th with 39 points.

This will be the Saints third season in the G-MAC and NCAA Division II after posting a 9-9 overall record a year ago. Thomas More also finished with a 4-5 record in G-MAC competition in 2024.

It will be head coach Shawn Barone's 8th season at the helm of the program. 

Findlay sits at the top of the poll with 6 first place votes and a total of 88 points. Tiffin is in second with four first place votes and 85 points. Northwood and Hillsdale are tied for third in the poll with 72 points, and Walsh in 5th with 57 points to round out the top 5. The rest of the poll shows Ashland in 6th (44 points), Thomas More in 7th (42 points), Cedarville in 8th (40 points), Kentucky Wesleyan in 9th (26 points), and Ursuline in 10th (18 points).

Thomas More tennis' season is underway as the Saints hold a 0-1 record. Their next match is Friday afternoon (February 5th) when the Saints host UIS.
