(GREENWOOD, IN) – The College Sports Communicators announced their 2025 baseball Academic All-District Teams Tuesday afternoon and the Saints had five student-athletes recognized. These student-athletes are senior A.J. Enginger (Hamilton, OH / Badin), senior
Austin Dennis (Cincinnati, OH / Oak Hills), senior
Jackson Grimmelsman (Cincinnati, OH / Oak Hills), senior
Ben Duncan (Hilliard, OH / Hilliard Bradley), and junior
Gunner Kalkhoff (Cincinnati, OH / LaSalle). Student-athletes from NCAA Division I, II, and III as well as the NAIA are recognized for this honor.
To be nominated, the student-athlete must be a sophomore both academically and athletically. They must have competed in 90% of the institution's games/contests/sets played or must start in at least 66% of the games/contests/sets. The student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale). Graduate students must have a minimum of a 3.50 for both their graduate program GPA and their undergraduate GPA.
A.J. Enginger is an Exercise Science major with a GPA of 3.88. He made 40 starts and appeared in 40 games for the Saints. He posted a batting average of .279 on the season with 6 doubles, a triple and two home runs.
Austin Dennis is a Business Administration major with a GPA of 3.70. He made 9 starts and appeared in 10 games on the mound for the Saints. He posted a 5.83 ERA over 46.1 innings pitched. He tallied a 2-5 record and 37 punch outs.
Jackson Grimmelsman is a Business Administration major with a GPA of 3.52. He made 10 starts and appeared in 11 games on the mound for the Saints. He posted an ERA of 5.72 over 50.1 innings pitched with a 1-6 record and 20 strike outs.
Ben Duncan is a Business Administration major with a 3.59 GPA. He made 44 starts on the year. He tallied a batting average of .273 with 6 doubles, a triple and a home run.
Gunner Kalkhoff is a Business Administration major with a GPA of 3.85. He started all 46 games for the Saints. He posted a batting average of .312 on the year with 5 doubles and 2 home runs.
