(FLORENCE, KY)-Thomas More University's baseball team swept the Ohio Dominican Panthers in a doubleheader on Friday (April, 18th). The Saints took game one by a score of 8 to 7 in a seven inning game off a walk-off single from sophomore
Noah McCarty (Louisville, KY / Christian Academy). The Saints then took game two by a score of 17 to 7 in 8 innings. The Saints improve to an overall record of 13-26 on the season, and a G-MAC record of 7-16.
Game One: Thomas More won 8-7 (7 Innings)
- In the bottom of the 1st inning, senior AJ Enginger (Hamilton, OH / Badin) scored on a passed ball to make it 1 to 0.
- In the bottom of the 2nd inning, sophomore Matt Resing (Independence, KY / St. Henry) made it 2 to 0 with a solo home run.
- ODU scored one run in the top of the 3rd to make it a 2 to 1 game.
- Thomas More got the run back in the bottom of the 3rd off an RBI single from sophomore Ty Cunningham (Fairfield, OH / Fairfield).
- ODU scored a run in the 4th, and took the lead with two runs in the 6th to make the score 4 to 3.
- In the bottom of the 6th, senior Ben Duncan (Hilliard, OH / Hilliard Bradley) hits an RBI double to tie the game up.
- Also in the 6th, AJ Enginger clears the bases with a three run home run to make it a 7 to 4 game.
- ODU ties the game with three runs in the 7th to make it 7 to 7.
- In the bottom of the 7th, Noah McCarty walks it off for the Saints with an RBI single.
Game Two: Thomas More won 17-7 (8 Innings)
- ODU scored the first run of the game in the top of the first to make it 1 to 0.
- RBI Singles from junior Gunner Kalkhoff (Cincinnati, OH / LaSalle) and Ty Cunningham makes it 2 to 1 after the first inning.
- In the bottom of the 2nd, the Saints get RBI singles from Duncan and Enginger before a two RBI double from first year Miguel Correa Jr. (Avon, IN / Avon) to put the Saints in front 6 to 1.
- In the bottom of the 3rd, AJ Eninger walks to bring home a run and senior Gaving Vogelgesang (Cincinnati, OH / St. Xavier) drives in another to make it 8 to 1.
- Miguel Correa Jr. wraps up the third inning with a bases clearing grand slam home run to make it a 12 to 1 lead for the Saints.
- The Saints add another run in the 4th, and score two more runs in the 5th off a sacrifice fly from McCarty and a double from Resing to push the lead to 15 to 1.
- ODU scores two runs in the 6th to make it a 12 run game.
- Thomas More gets a run back in the bottom half of the 6th off an RBI single from Gunner Kalkhoff.
- ODU scored 4 runs in the top of the 7th to make it a 16 to 7 game.
- Thomas More would wrap the game up on a solo home run from Gavin Vogelgesang to make it 17 to 7.
Game One:
- Ben Duncan went 3 for 3 with two doubles, an RBI, and a run scored.
- AJ Enginger went 1 for 3 with three RBIs and a home run.
- Matt Resing went 1Â for 2 with a home run, two walks and an RBI.

- First year Cameron Snider (Amelia, OH / Bethel-Tate) pitched 4.1 innings, allowing two runs off five hits and struck out two.
- Sophomore Ethan Stone (Hamilton, OH / Hamilton) pitched 2.1 innings, allowing five runs off four hits and struck out two.
- Junior Tony Spangler (Springboro, OH / Springboro) pitched 0.1 innings, allowing one base runner and picking up the win.
Game Two:
- First year Aaron Wichmann (Burlington, KY / Conner) pitched 5.0 innings, allowing three runs off seven hits and struck out three. He earned the win.
- Sophomore Nolan Krekeler (Loveland, OH / Moeller) pitched 2.0 innings, allowing four runs off four hits, and striking out one.
- Junior Ian Bierbaum (Cincinnati, OH / LaSalle) pitched 1.0 innings, did not allow a run or hit, and struck out two.

The Saints return on Tuesday (April 22nd) when they host Miami Hamilton at Thomas More Stadium. First pitch is set for 4:00 PM.
