Women's Tennis Win Streak Snapped in Loss to Walsh

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.)-Thomas More University women's tennis team fell to Walsh on Saturday (April, 12th). The Saints move to an overall record of 8-6 on the season and 3-3 in G-MAC play.

• Junior Alexis Covington (Cincinnati, OH./ Walnut Hills) and senior Dakota Schroeder (Tipp City, OH/ Tippecanoe) fell to Rachel Kibler and Carla Padberg 6 to 2.

• First year Hallie Lathram (Nicholasville, KY / Lexington Catholic) and first year Cassia Adamowsky (Berlin, Germany / Werner Von Siemens) fell to Aleksandra Chmir and Lina Starke by a score of 6 to 2.

• Senior Noellia Martinez Garcia (Santander, Spain / IES Las Llamas Santander) and Freshman Nicole Bauer (Tipp City, OH) lost to Taira Abildayeva and Olesya Ivashcuk 6 to 0.
   

• Alexis Covington defeated Taira Abildayeva 6-3 and 6-2.  

• Dakota Schroeder won against Lina Starke in 3 sets. (4-6, 7-5, 7-6)

• Cassia Adamowsky fell to Carla Padberg 6-4 and 7-6

• Noelia Martinez Garcia defeated Rachel Kibler 6-1 and 6-4.

• Nicole Bauer fell to Olesya Ivashchuk 6-0 and 6-1.

• Hallie Lathram fell to Aleksandra Chmir 6-4 and 6-3.

The Saints will return tomorrow (April, 13th) for their final home match of the season against Ursuline. That is set to begin at 10:30 AM.
