Women's Lacrosse Falls to Davenport on the Road

(GRAND RAPIDS, MI) - The Thomas More women's lacrosse program took on Davenport on the road on Saturday (March, 22nd). The Saints fell by a score of 18 to 7. Thomas More moves to 0-9 overall on the season.

• Junior Meg Pierani (Lawrenceburg, IN / Mercy McAuley) opened the game with an unassisted goal to get the Saints out in front.
• Davenport scored the games next 9 goals to take a 9 to 1 lead.
• Sophomore Anna Wells (West Chester, OH / Lakota East) scores off an assist from sophomore Alex Nunn (Loveland, OH / Loveland) to make it a 7 goal game.
• Davenport scores 5 more goals to take a 14 to 2 lead into the half.
• Senior Gracey Robinson (Lebanon, OH / Lebanon) scores off an assist from first year Lauren Ferrier (Cincinnati, OH / Mercy McAuley) to open the second half.
• Alex Nunn and Meg Pierani score back to back goals to end a Davenport run and makes the score 17 to 5.
• After a Davenport goal, Anna Wells records back to back assists on goals from sophomore Alexis Denman (Cincinnati, OH / Mercy McAuley) and Gracey Robinson to make it a 18 to 7 game.

• Meg Pierani recorded 2 goals and an assist along with a caused turnover in the match.
• Anna Wells posted a goal, 2 assists, 4 ground balls, 3 caused turnovers, and 3 draw controls in the game.

• Thomas More returns to action on Thursday (March, 27th) when they host Ashland at Republic Bank Field. That match will begin at 5:00 PM.
