Women's Basketball Falls to Hillsdale on Thursday Night

Box Score (CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY)- Thomas More University's women's basketball team fell to the Hillsdale Chargers on Thursday (February, 6th) by a final score of 65 to 59. Thomas More moves to an overall record of 8-14 on the season and 5-9 in G-MAC play.

• Sophomore Laney Baker (West Harrison, Ind./East Central) got the scoring started for Thomas More with a three pointer to tie the game at 3.
• Junior Sereniti Webb (Covington, Ky./Simon Kenton) scored her first points of the night on a layup to tie the game with 8:14 to go in the first quarter.
• Sophomore Morgan Hunt (Wheelersburg, OH / Wheelersburg) hit a three pointer off an assist from junior Rylee Turner (Newport, KY / Newport Central Catholic) to give the Saints their first lead of the night.
• With 6:01 to go in the first quarter, first year Anna Drakeford (Harrodsburg, KY / Mercer County) made a driving layup to make it a 10 to 8 game.
• Sophomore Desiree Tandy (Danville, KY / Danville) knocks down a triple to put the Saints up 5.
• Alaina Keeney makes a layup on a Rylee Turner assist in the closing seconds of the first quarter, and after one the Saints lead 19 to 15.
• Keeney opened the second quarter with a three pointer off a Morgan Hunt assist to push the Saints lead to 7.
• Rylee Turner follows with a three pointer of her own to make it a 27 to 15 game with 7:47 to go in the half.
• Morgan Hunt and Sereniti Webb make buckets to keep the Saint lead at 10 with 4:35 to go.
• With 3:16 to go in the half, Anna Drakeford makes a driving layup off another Turner assist to keep the Saints in front by 12.
