(CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY) - The Thomas More University women's basketball team remains in as the 8th place team in the final Division II Women's Basketball Midwest Regional rankings that were released Wednesday (Mar. 4). It's the final rankings before the final NCAA Division II Regional bracket is set on Sunday, March 8 during the Selection Show beginning at 10:30 PM ET.
The Saints finished the regular season 22-6, all against other Midwest Region teams, and 14-6 against Great Midwest Athletic Conference teams. Thomas More remains ranked 8th in the ten-team ranking with Grand Valley State (GLIAC) leading with an overall record of 26-1. The Great Midwest Athletic Conference is also represented in the rankings by Northwood (23-5) who remains at #3 and Malone (22-5) who remains at #6.
Thomas More fell to Findlay in the quarterfinals of the conference tournament on Tuesday (Mar. 3) and will wait until Sunday (Mar. 8) to see if they will be one of the five at-large bids for the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Tournament which will be held March 13-14 and 16 at a site yet to be announced.
