Saints Comeback Falls Short on Senior Day

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY.)-Thomas More University's football team fell to Ohio Dominican on Saturday (November, 8th) by a final score of 31 to 29. Thomas More moves ot 0-10 overall and 0-8 in G-MAC play.
  • ODU scored first on a 12 yard touchdown pass and PAT to make it 7 to 0.
  • Thomas More scored on a one yard touchdown run from redshirt junior Davay Hill (Cincinnati, OH / LaSalle). The PAT was good from senior Luke Iden (Taylor Mill, KY / Scott) to tie it at 7.
  • ODU blocks a TMU punt and returns it 44 yards for a touchdown to take a 14 to 7 lead.
  • Sophomore Avery Bodner (Danville, KY / Boyle County) blocked an ODU punt. Redshirt freshman Kevarris Cohen (Palm Bay, FL / Heritage) would return it for a Saint touchdown. The Iden PAT made it 14 to 14.
  • ODU would find the end zone before half, with a 19 yard touchdown pass. The PAT made it 21 to 14.
  • Luke Iden would open the second half with a 35 yard field goal to make it a 21 to 17 game.
  • ODU extended their lead with a 35 yard touchdown pass to make it 28 to 17.
  • Redshirt sophomore Javion Bostic (Cincinnati, Ohio/Winton Woods) scored a touchdown off a throw from first year Ben Chesser (Northfield, Ohio/Nordonia) to cut the lead to 28-23.
  • Thomas More would take a one point lead following a 15 yard touchdown pass from Chesser to junior Gilly Robbins (Louisville, KY / DuPont Manual). (29 to 28)
  • ODU would make a go ahead field goal with 1:40 to go to make it 31 to 29.

Notables
  • Ben Chesser passed for 286 yards on 28 completions. He recorded two touchdown passes.
  • Senior Anthony Grossnickle (Massillon, Ohio/Northwest) had 127 receiving yards off six catches. 
  • Sophomore Tofa Luani (Milford, Ohio/Milford) had six total tackles with one assisted and five solo.

The Saints return next Saturday (November 15th) for the season finale when they travel to Owensboro, KY to take on Kentucky Wesleyan. Kick-off is set fo 1:00 PM.
