(NORTH CANTON, OH) - Thomas More University's football team took on the Walsh Cavaliers on Saturday (October, 25th). The Saints fell by a final score of 41 to 20. Thomas More moves to 0-8 overall, and 0-6 in G-MAC play.
- Thomas More got on the scoreboard first thanks to a blocked punt and recovery for a touchdown by sophomore Avery Bodner (Danville, KY / Boyle County). The PAT made it 7-0 TMU.
- Walsh tied the game up with a 5 yard touchdown run and a PAT early in the second quarter. (7-7)
- Thomas More took back the lead with a 46 yard touchdown pass from freshman Ben Chesser (Northfield, OH / Nordonia) to redshirt sophomore Javion Bostic (Cincinnati, OH / Winton Woods). The PAT made it 14 to 7.
- Walsh tied it back up on a 53 yard touchdown pass and a PAT.
- With 1:57 to go in the half, Walsh scored on a two yard run and a PAT to take the 21 to 14 lead.
- Senior Luke Iden (Taylor Mill, KY / Scott) made a 35 yard field goal as time expired to send the Saints into the break down 21 to 17.
- Walsh scored on a 2 yard touchdown pass to open the second half and took a 28 to 17 lead.
- Walsh recovered a TMU fumble and returned it 90 yards for a touchdown. The PAT made it 35 to 17.
- Luke Iden made a 30 yard field goal with 38 seconds left in the quarter to make it a 35 to 20 game.
- Walsh made two field goals in the final quarter as they went on to win 41 to 20.
- Ben Chesser passed for 294 yards on 24 completions. He recorded one touchdown pass.
- Javion Bostic posted 122 yards of receiving on 10 catches and a touchdown in the game.
- Avery Bodner tallied 4 tackles in the game along with a blocked punt and a touchdown.
- Luke Iden made both his field goal attempts in the game.

Thomas More football returns to action next Saturday (November, 1st) when the Saints host Hillsdale at Republic Bank Field. That game will kick-off at 12:00 PM.
