Ebony Gomez (Merida, Venezuela / Colegio Salesiano San Luis) of the women's volleyball program at Thomas More earned her second straight Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women's Volleyball South Division Athlete of the Week award of the season.
Gomez earns the honors following a week that saw the Saints go 3-0 in G-MAC competition. During the three victories over Kentucky Wesleyan, Malone and Walsh, Gomez tallied 47 total kills and six blocks. This includes a career high 27 blocks in the four set victory over Malone.
Gomez and the Saints are back in action on Wednesday when they travel to face Central State. That match is set to begin at 6:00 PM.
