Saints Close Out the Regular Season With Loss at Ashland

(Ashland, OH) - The Thomas More University women's volleyball team faced off against the Ashland University Eagles on Friday (November 14).  The Eagles defeated the Saints in three sets as Thomas More now moves to 7-8 in conference play and 11-14 overall.

Ashland defeats Thomas More, 3-0.

• Ashland won the opening set 25 to 11.

• Ashland won the second set 25 to 21.

• Ashland won the third set and the match 25 to 20.

• Senior Matilde Giamberini (Gornate Olona, Italy/Liceo Curie) led the Saints in kills with 8.  

• Senior Matilde Giamberini (Gornate Olona, Italy/Liceo Curie) and Sophomore Audrey Warrick (Linton, IN/Linton Stockton) both led the team in service aces with 1 each.

• Sophomore Audrey Warrick (Linton, IN/Linton Stockton) and Sophomore Ceci Kamer (Fisherville, KY/Holy Cross) both led the team in blocks with 5 each.

• Sophomore Audrey Warrick (Linton, IN/Linton Stockton) led the match in assists with 22.

• Sophomore Taylor Stivers (Louisville, KY/Atherton) led the match in digs with 13.

• The Thomas More women's volleyball team returns to action on Tuesday (November 18) to kick off the Great Midwest Conference Tournament.
