Holy Cross Defeats Women's Tennis

Box Score (NOTRE DAME, IN)-Thomas More University's women's tennis team fell to Holy Cross on Monday morning (March 4), 6-1. The Saints overall record falls to 1-4.

• Sophomore Alexis Covington (Cincinnati, Ohio/Walnut Hills) and senior Cassie Saner (Independence, Ky./Simon Kenton) defeated Victoria Savvides and Tamina Beer 6-2.
• Junior Dakota Schroeder (Tipp City, Ohio/Tippecaneo) and junior Noelia Martinez Garcia (Santander, Spain/IES Las Llamas) went 2-4 unfinished to Maria Jose Sanchez and Helga Lopez.
• Senior Aman Dail (North Hollywood, Calif./Walton-Verona) and senior Sydney Johnson (Independence, Ky./St. Henry) fell to Nicole Martinez and Diane Maillotte 6-1.

• Alexis Covington was defeated 6-4 and 6-1 to Victoria Savvides.
• Dakota Schroeder won by a 2-2 forfeit over Maria Jose Sanchez.
• Noelia Martinez Garcia fell 3-6 and 6-4 (0-1) to Helga Lopez.
• Cassie Saner was defeated by Nicole Martinez 6-1 and 6-1.
• Amail Dail lost 6-0 and 6-0 to Diane Maillotte.
• First year Hallie Kriege (Independence, Ky./Dixie Heights) fel 6-0 and 6-0 to Anna Vanderhyde.

The Saints return to action on Saturday March 23 at 3:00 pm in Midland, Mich. to open up conference play against Northwood.
