Men's Basketball Falls in Conference Home Opener

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.)-Thomas More University men's basketball team fell to Cedarville on Saturday (Dec 2), 89-74. The Saints overall record falls to 5-3 overall and 1-1 in conference. 

• Junior Casey George (Pickerington, Ohio/Pickerington North) drained a 3-point basket to start things off for the Saints, to give them a 3-2 lead with 18:37 on the clock.
• With 13:04 to play in the half, first year Carson Browne (Cincinnati, Ohio/Elder) hit a 3-point shot to extend the Saints 8-0 run over the Yellow Jackets (18-11).
• Junior Kyle Ross (St. John, Ind./Lake Central) made a shot from behind the arch to make it a 25-19 game with 9:01 in the half.
• First year Nathan Dudukovich (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West) knocked in 3-point shot for the Saints final basket of the half with 30 seconds on the clock (39-42).
• The Saints would trail 39-45 at the half.
• Casey George led the team with nine points in the first half and had two assists.
• Junior Jacob Jones (Jeffersonville, Ind./Jeffersonville) led the Saints with five rebounds and three assists and had seven points.
• Carson Browne and Nathan Dudukovich both had six points each in the first half.
• The Saints were 46.9% (15-32) from the field, 43.8% (7-16) from the 3-point line, and 28.6% (2-7) from the free throw line in the first half.

• Jacob Jones drove to the rim for a layup for the Saints first basket of the second half with 19:51 in the game (41-45).
• Junior Wyatt Vieth (Hebron, Ky./St. Henry) made a jump shot with 12:55 to play to make it a 51-56 game.
• With 6:43 to play, Kyle Ross drove to the basket for a layup to cut the lead to 62-69.
• Jacob Jones made one free throw for the Saints final points of the game with 37 seconds left.
• The Saints would fall 89-74.
• Jacob Jones led the Saints with 18 points and two assists in the second half and had two rebounds.
• Carson Browne led the team with three rebounds.
• Kyle Ross had seven points and one rebound.
• Wyatt Veith tallied six points.
• The Saints were 50% (13-26) from the field, 440% (4-10) from the 3-point line, and 55.6% (5-9) from the free throw line in the second half.

• Jacob Jones led the Saints across the board with 25 points, seven rebounds, and five assists.
• Carson Browne also led the team with seven rebounds and had six points and two assists.
• Wyatt Vieth had 11 points and two rebounds.
• Kyle Ross recorded 1- points and one rebounds.
• Casey George tallied nine points, two rebounds, and three assists.
