Men's Basketball Comes up Short to UIndy

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN)-Thomas More University men's basketball team fell to UIndy on Wednesday afternoon (Nov 22), 63-58. The Saints overall record falls to 3-2.

First Half
  • First year Nathan Dudukovich (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West) made a layup for the Saints first basket of the game to put the team up 2-0 with 18:46 on the clock.
  • Junior Jacob Jones (Jeffersonville, Ind./Jeffersonville) drove to the rim for a layup to tie the game up at 10-10 with 12:16 to play in the first half.
  • With 3:28 to play in the first half, graduate student Reid Jolly (Alexandria, Ky./Campbell County) made a turn around shot to put the Saints within two (24-26).
  • Nathan Dudukovich drained a 3-point basket to put the Saints up 30-29 with 39 seconds left in the half.
  • UIndy would make it a 30-31 game at the half.
  • Nathan Dudukovich led with eight points in the first half and had two rebounds. 
  • Jacob Jones recorded four assists to lead the team and had six points and two rebounds.
  • Junior Kyle Ross (St. John, Ind./Lake Central) led the Saints defensively with four rebounds and had three points and two assists.
  • The Saints were 42.9% (12-28) from the field, 30.8% (4-13) from the 3-point line, and 100% (2-2) from the free throw line in the first half.
Second Half
  • Junior Wyatt Vieth (Hebron, Ky./St. Henry) started things off for the Saints in the second half with a 3-point basket to put the team up 33-31 with 19:32 to play.
  • Sophomore transfer Ryan Paris (Hilliard, Ohio/Hilliard Davidson) made a 3-point shot to put the team within one with 11:31 on the clock (45-46).
  • With 7:23 to play, first year Carson Browne (Cincinnati, Ohio/Elder) knocked in a 3-point basket to tie the game up at 53-53.
  • Nathan Dudukovich hit the Saints final basket of the game to tie things up at 58-58 with 1:39 to play.
  • The Saint would come up short to the Greyhounds, 63-58.
  • Nathan Dudukovich led the team with six points and two assists in the second half and had two rebounds.
  • Reid Jolly led the Saints with six points and three rebounds and had one assist.
